My Story
My wife and I arrive in Barcelona from London at the end of 2020.
Our intention was to buy an apartment within 6 months. It took 2 years to find the right one. Why? Simply because we were unfamiliar with the market, we were expecting it to be similar to other markets where we'd bought, and we were unprepared for the special challenges that face buyers here.
In the end, we found what we were looking for, renovated, and now live happily in the beachside barrio of La Barceloneta.
But the grueling process left an indelible desire in me to help others in a similar position looking to move to, or invest in, Barcelona.
Hi. My name is Robert Hutchison and I am a property consultant who helps international property buyers find their dream home in Barcelona.
My Inspiration
I am inspired by people and by architecture and design, and I want to bring these together in the simplest, most informed, stress-free, and most transparent way.
I believe that this can be achieved by working closely with buyers, understanding their most nuanced emotional and functional needs, and finding them the property that's right for them.
This is not a job for AI or corporations: buying property is personal. It means being singularly dedicated above all else, to the buyer, not the seller, and not to any agency.
My Passion
I live and breathe architecture, design, and property
I have been in the architecture and design space for over 20 years as a partner in the architecture and design solutions company Axolotl Australia.
I've also been buying, renovating, and flipping properties for over 30 years.
My belief is that architecture and design have the power to positively affect people's lives, improving their well-being and happiness.

My mission is to maximise people's wellbeing and happiness by connecting them to the right property.
